Thank you for using Maestro Amadeus services ("Services") that were created by MAESTRO AMADEUS d. o. o. ("Maestro Amadeus"), Ulica škofa Maksimilijana Držečnika 6, 2000 Maribor, Slovenia, which is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. These Services are provided by Maestro Amadeus and are intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Services. If you choose to use our Services, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Services. We will not use or share your information with anyone, except as described in this Privacy Policy. The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
1. What data do we collect?
1.1 Personal identification information
We collect, and associate with your account, the information you provide to us. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign up or log in with a third-party account such as Google or Apple, we may also receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider, depending on your settings with them, and associate them with your account. When your account is created, we generate a username for you based on your name or email address; you can change it at any time. You can also add or change a first name, last name, profile picture and biography in your profile settings – these are optional and you can leave them empty. Our Services use third party services that may collect information used to identify you. Links to privacy policies of third party service providers used by the app:
1.2 Your Content
Our Services are designed to simplify the storage and management of your music content, which may include documents, photos, playbacks, scores, setlists, play settings, annotations, and more, collectively referred to as "Your Content." Additionally, our platform facilitates collaboration with others within the same group and seamless access across multiple devices. To enable these functionalities, we store, process, and transmit Your Content, along with associated information.
This related information encompasses your profile data, which enhances collaboration and content-sharing capabilities with other users. It also includes details such as file size, upload timestamps, information about collaborators, and usage activity. Our Services offer a range of options for sharing Your Content with others within the same group.
We'd like to clarify a few important points regarding the sharing of Your Content and profile data.
Profile Data Sharing: Your profile data can be shared with other users, but this sharing is limited to members within the same collaboration group. This ensures that your profile information is accessible only to those within your designated group, enhancing privacy and control.
Your Content Sharing within Groups: Your Content can be shared within a group if you explicitly choose to do so. This sharing is restricted to the specific group members you designate, providing a secure and controlled environment for collaborative efforts.
Automatic recognition of sheet-music details: To provide automatic recognition of details such as title, composer, instrument part, genre, tempo, key and copyright notice, we process uploaded files with automated tools, including an AI service operated on Amazon Web Services. The file itself is never transmitted to the AI service: recognition works on limited text excerpts taken from the uploaded file, together with the file name and page numbers. These excerpts may incidentally include names that appear on the sheet music – for example composers, arrangers or rights holders – or other text printed on the pages. This processing takes place only to provide the Services to you, on our instructions; the transmitted text is not used to train AI models.
At Maestro Amadeus, we prioritise your privacy and data security. Our platform is designed to empower you to manage and share Your Content efficiently while respecting your preferences and privacy settings within group collaborations. Your trust in our commitment to safeguarding your data is of utmost importance to us.
1.3 Group Content and Data Sharing
Within Maestro Amadeus, we offer the functionality to create and manage groups, facilitating seamless collaboration and content sharing among members. This chapter outlines how data is shared within a group, including the role of administrators, member interactions, and data visibility.
Creating and Managing Groups:
Each registered user have the privilege to create groups within Maestro Amadeus. These groups can serve various purposes, such as music ensembles, orchestras, educational classes, or collaborative projects.
Administrators of the group can invite individuals to join a group. When invitations are accepted, the profile data of the accepting members is shared with others within the group, enhancing visibility and facilitating communication.
Data Sharing Inside the Group:
Group members with write permissions in a group can contribute content to that group. This content may include music documents, photos, playbacks, scores, setlists, play settings, and more, collectively referred to as "Group Content."
When a member adds content to the group, that content is shared with other group members, ensuring that everyone within the group has access to the same materials. This fosters collaboration, discussion, and efficient sharing of resources.
Feed Functionality for Group Communication:
Groups also feature a feed where all members can communicate through messages, comments, likes, and other interactive features. This feed serves as a centralised platform for group discussions, announcements, and general communication.
Permission Control:
- Administrators have the authority to manage group membership, permissions, and settings. They can add or remove members and adjust their permission levels within the group. Group owners and administrators can also remove posts and comments from the group feed, including those written by other members; removed items are deleted for all members of the group and are not recoverable.
- Member roles within a group can vary. Some members may have write permissions, allowing them to add and edit group content, while others may have read-only access, enabling them to view and comment on content.
Privacy and Data Security:
Profile data of group members is shared within the group to facilitate communication and collaboration. This sharing is limited to group members and is not accessible to users outside the group.
Group content is exclusively accessible to group members. It is not visible to other users of Maestro Amadeus, ensuring that your collaborative efforts remain private and secure within the group.
At Maestro Amadeus, we prioritise user control, data security, and effective communication. Our group functionality is designed to empower administrators and members to collaborate effectively while maintaining privacy and data integrity. Whether you are a music ensemble, orchestra, educational institution, or creative project team, our group features enhance your ability to work together effectively and communicate within a dedicated group environment.
1.4 Contacts
You may choose to give us access to your contacts to make it easier for you to do things like share and collaborate on Your Content or Group Content, and invite others to use our Services. If you do, we can store those contacts on our servers for you to use them in the future.
1.5 Usage information
We collect information related to how you use the Services, including actions you take in your account (like adding music materials, sharing, editing and viewing your content). We use this information to improve our Services, develop new services and features, and protect our users.
We also record the approximate time you last used the Services (an account activity timestamp). We use this to administer accounts and, in the future, to identify long-inactive accounts as part of a dormant-account policy; if we introduce such a policy, we will announce it and this policy will describe it before any action is taken. The timestamp is kept for as long as your account exists.
1.6 Device information and Log Data
We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Services. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, and identifiers associated with your devices.
In the case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
1.7 Do we collect precise real-time location information of the device?
Our Services do not collect precise information about the location of your device.
1.8 Demo requests and contact forms
When you request a demo or contact us, we collect the details you submit – such as your name, email address, organisation or school name, and your role – together with any files you choose to upload so that we can prepare your demo. We use them solely to respond to your request and manage the follow-up conversation. This data is processed through our email service providers and is retained for as long as needed to handle your request and reasonable follow-up.
2. How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Maestro Amadeus with the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Use our Services and create a Maestro Amadeus account or place an order for any of our products or services.
- Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
- Subscribe via subscription form on our website.
- Use or view our website via your browser's cookies.
- Use our mobile apps.
3. How will we use your data?
We collect and use the personal data described above in order to:
- Provide you with the Services in a reliable and secure manner.
- Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.
- Process your order and manage your account.
We also collect and use personal data for our legitimate business needs. In case we need to process your personal data for other purposes, we ask for your consent in advance or require that our partners obtain such consent. When Maestro Amadeus processes your order, it may send your data to credit reference agencies, and also use the resulting information for the purposes of preventing fraudulent purchases. We use Stripe as a payment provider for purchases made through our website; in-app purchases are processed through Google Play and App Store.
4. With whom is the data shared?
We may share information as discussed below, but we will not sell it to advertisers or other third parties.
4.1 Other users
If you are a member of a group, other members of that group can see your display name (built from your first and last name, or from your username), your email address, your profile picture and its appearance settings, your profile banner settings, your biography, your role in the group, the sections you belong to, the date you joined the group, and the date you joined Maestro Amadeus. This information appears in places like the group member list, the group feed and sharing notifications. You can also choose to share Your Content with other members of your groups.
4.2 Maestro Amadeus Group admins
If you are a member of a Maestro Amadeus Group, your administrator may have the ability to access and control your group account. If you are not a group user but interact with another user (by, for example, sharing Your Content), members of that organisation may be able to view the name, email address, biography and profile picture that was associated with your account at the time of that interaction.
4.3 Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by our Services?
We share personal data with service providers that help us operate the Services, as described in this policy. Analytics providers receive usage and device data; our email provider receives the data needed to send you messages; our payment provider receives the data needed to process payments. These providers process the data on our behalf under data processing terms and may not use it for their own purposes, except as described elsewhere in this policy, including the advertising cookies described in section 10. We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process.
- When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
- With our trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
- If Maestro Amadeus is involved in a merger, acquisition, or the sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.
5. How do we store your data?
Our Services securely store your data at Amazon Web Services. Information may also be stored locally on the devices you use to access the Services. Maestro Amadeus will keep your personal identification information and Your Content for the time you have an active account in our Services.
Some of our service providers are located in the United States (including Google, Amazon Web Services, Meta, Stripe, and Mixpanel). Transfers of personal data to these providers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which each of these providers is certified, and on standard contractual clauses as a fallback safeguard.
6. You have the right to Control your data
When you sign up for an account with us, we will retain information you store on our Services for as long as your account is in existence or as long as we need it to provide you the Services. If you delete your account, we will initiate deletion of this information after 14 days. But please note: (1) there might be some latency in deleting this information from our servers and back-up storage; and (2) we may retain this information if necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. You have control over your personal information and have the right to:
- Erase or delete all or some of Your Content in your account.
- Change or correct personal data. You can manage your account and the content contained in it, as well as edit some of your personal data through your profile settings page.
- Access and take your data.
You may request deletion of your account at info@maestroamadeus.com and we will delete your personal identification information and Your Content. One exception: annotation layers you have shared with a group (draft or published) are retained in anonymised form – your name and account are permanently disconnected from them – because other group members may rely on them in their work. Annotations you kept private are deleted entirely. The same applies when you leave a group. Because the retained annotations are no longer linked to you, they cease to be personal data.
Backup copies may persist for a short additional period before being overwritten. Records we are legally required to keep (for example invoicing data) are retained for the statutory period. Print-history records within a group are retained as part of that group's records for as long as the group exists. Technical server logs, which can include details such as song titles and file names, are kept for a limited period for security, troubleshooting and service operation.
7. How we manage data security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Our team is dedicated to keeping your information secure and testing for vulnerabilities. We also continue to work on features to keep your information safe in addition to things like encryption.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
8. Marketing
Maestro Amadeus would like to send you information about our products and services that we think you might like. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.
You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.
We give users the option to use some of our Services free of charge. If you register for our free Services, we will, from time to time, send you information about upgrades when permissible. Users who receive these marketing materials can opt out at any time. If you do not want to receive marketing materials from us, simply click the 'unsubscribe' link in any email, or update your preferences in your personal account. By creating an Account on our Service, you have the option to subscribe to newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information we may send. You may opt out of receiving any or all of these communications from us, by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send. You will still receive transactional emails and important notifications about your account when using our Service.
We sometimes contact people who do not have a Maestro Amadeus account. For recipients in the EU, we will obtain consent before contacting you. If you receive an email and no longer wish to be contacted by Maestro Amadeus, you can unsubscribe and remove yourself from our contact list via the message itself.
